First of all, congratulations that you had got admission in medical College and welcome to college life. Now you are in your most toughest phase of whole course of MBBS. This is all because of anatomy. Anatomy had made 1st year very serious. As it is very difficult, its concepts are difficult to understand and to remember. Also, the proffesors of anatomy are also very serious as they conduct regular substages, stages and tests. So, sometimes you will feel that you are stuck here between tests and all these stuff. But don't worry. Because after your 1st year, you will get a lot of time to complete your interest and desires.

1st year has 3 subjects - Anatomy, physiology and biochemistry. Physiology is all about the normal functioning of the body. Many tutorials and seminars are conducted in physiology that help you to prepare the topics. Its practicals are really very interesting. You will enjoy a lot in doing experiments with your own blood like blood grouping etc and checking your blood pressure, reflexes etc

Biochemistry is all about the metabolisms, genetics and biomolecules. It is relatively easy subject. You will study it only during your tests and final exam times. In Its practical classes, you will play with chemicals in test tubes etc. So, it is quite interesting.

Anatomy is the sole of mbbs 1st year. Its all about the basic structural framework of our body. Histology was my favourite subject. I found it very interesting to see histological slides in microscopes, clicking its pictures and comparing with diagrams in book. It's fun.
