Must read - Books to study physiology in mbbs 1st year
1. You must know the composition of 3 cells in blood as it the basic thing. A/G ratio and basic composition of blood.
2. Forms of plasma protiens and thier functions.
3. Functions of plasma protiens are very imp.
4. Haemoglobin structure and its normal value is a basic thing. You must know that why haemoglobin is contained inside RBCs.
5. Read flow chart of catabolism of haemoglobin from a.k. jain.
6. Varieties of haemoglobin and Iron metabolism.
7. Haemopoises is a very imp. long question of exam. You should know all the stages of erythropoieses and it's regulation in full detail. Read the difference between interleukins and cytokines.
8. Anaemia is again a very imp. long question. It's classification, iron deficiency anemia, pernicious anemia come as separate question.
9. Jaundice is again very imp. Understand the concept of its 3 types and it will become easier to learn. Also read Physiological Jaundice.
10. Physiology of phagocytic mechanisms. Read the causes of leucopenia and leucocytosis.
11. Haemostasis and clotting mechanisms is a v. v. imp long question. Remember the flow chart. Also read functions of platelets.
( Don't confuse between Haemostasis and homeostasis because students generally confuse)
12. All haemorrhagic disorders - Hemophilia A, Vitamin K deficiency, Purpura.
13. Landsteiner's law of ABO grouping
14. Hemolytic disease of newborn - It's mechanism and various forms.
15. Hazards of blood transfusion is a famous question.
16. Natural immune system, it's soluble factors especially complement system is very imp.
17. In acquired immune system, the detailed flow chart of humoral and acquired immune system is very imp. ( I studied from Indu khurana).
Also read 1° and 2° antibody responses.

I already covered most of the topics you shared with us. As I am a student of All Saints University SVG is a world-popular university. They give us important topics notes as well. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the

My son was born 6-16-2019 via a repeat C-section. shortly after birth he couldn't keep his o2 up and was jerking so they sent us to a larger hospital. Once there it was torture. They first thought it was a blood disorder because his blood was thicker than normal, then they noticed his seizures. After that we did the MRI and the next day the neuron met us in the nicu to discuss his findings. I remember I kept asking the nurses about his results and all I was told was the Dr. can explain better than me so we knew something wasn't right. I was sitting in the chair beside his bed and the neuro came in and said your son has had a LARGE right mca infarct which is a stroke. I lost it then and they then asked me did I want to see his MRI. I just couldn't and to this day still haven't.
