Books to study ent in mbbs new final

ENT is the most easiest subject of MBBS new final year. Other subjects that are opthalmology and PSM are difficult than it. So you will not feel much difficulty to pass ENT in exams. You can pass it by studying it at exams times also. You don't require much time to understand the concept. So my suggestion is to study rest subjects during the whole year and study ent only at exam times and at your 1 month clinical postings ( just like I did).

1. DHINGRA

It is the standard book of ENT. It has very simple language and easily understandable. Content is written in headings that you can write in exams. So for exam based study, it is a good book. Moreover, it is also helpful for practical purposes as at the end, instruments used in clinical practices and various surgeries are given that are asked in viva.

The main part of the subject is the Ear both for theory as well as practical purposes. And it is very easy. The Nose section - I found it somewhat difficult but it won't give you much panic. Throat and rest other part is also easy. Dhingra is enough for exams and you need not to study any other book for exams

2. MOHAN BANSAL

This book is same as Dhingra. It seems to be it's copy paste. It also contains good content and good diagrams. So you can use it as a reference book for the topics that you can't understand from Dhingra. And it can help you to make your concepts stronger.

3. BHARGAVA

It is a short book of ENT. Just as shanbag of pharmacology that you studied in 2nd year. It contains content in concise manner and point wise manner. So it may be beneficial to you. Use it as a reference book.

4. LOGAN TURNER

It is a book of higher level. Content is displayed in more detailed way. So you can use it as a reference book to Dhingra.

5. BS TULI

It is also just same as other books like Mohan Bansal. So Dhingra is enough for you. You can use it as a reference book but is not much helpful.
